The Cedarville Male Athlete of the Week (January 24-30) is track & field pole vaulter Tommy Ansiel. The senior from Warrenville, Illinois flew past 17 feet to easily win the pole vault event in the Indiana Tech Invitational at the Turnstone Center on Friday, Jan. 29 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ansiel cleared 17-0.75 (5.20 meters) to meet the NCAA Division II provisional mark. The effort ties for sixth in CU's program history.
