The Cedarville Male Athlete of the Week (March 7-13) is track & field pole vaulter Tommy Ansiel. The senior from Warrenville, Illinois took second place in the pole vault at the NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday, March 13. Ansiel tied for the best jump in the competition at 17-3.50 (5.27 meters) to earn NCAA All-America honors. He finished runner-up based on misses. The three-day event took place in the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
