The Cedarville Female Athlete of the Week (April 11-17) is track & field distance runner Rachel Sweeney. The senior from Xenia, Ohio took first place in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Tiffin Invitational on Saturday, April 17 in Tiffin, Ohio. Sweeney's time of 10:56.74 met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard and is currently the seventh-fastest mark in the country. It is only the second time in Sweeney's career that she's competed in the steeple.
