Central State ties up Lady Jackets

WILBERFORCE, Ohio - Central State answered a Lady Jacket comeback midway through the second half with a key run of its own to post an 82-64 victory in a non-conference contest of Greene County rivals.

NAIA Division II No. 17 Cedarville, 3-2 overall, watched a 41-32 halftime deficit inflate to a 17-point hole with 12:40 left. However, the Lady Jackets embarked on a 13-2 spurt culminating in Lydia Miller, Kara Cayton, and Caitlyn Mauch draining back-to-back-to-back three-pointers to close the gap to 61-55 at the 10:05 mark.

The NCAA Division II Lady Marauders, 3-2, used a three-pointer as the catalyst for a decisive 14-4 run to put the game away. The 18-point final was their largest lead of the game.

Aubrey Siemon was the only starter to reach twin figures as she produced a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Miller fired in 15 points and Mauch followed with 11. [STATS]
