URBANA, Ohio - NAIA Division II #11 Cedarville stormed out to a 22-point first half lead and cruised to a 70-57 non-conference victory at Urbana.
The Lady Jackets, winners of three straight to improve to 4-1 overall, never trailed in the game. Alison Lemon fueled a 31-9 eruption midway through the first period by scoring 15 points on her own which included a trio of three-pointers.
A 15-point halftime lead melted to a 55-44 difference with 9:25 left. Aubrey Siemon followed six consecutive free throws with a lay-up while Lydia Miller capped off a spurt of 11 unanswered points with a triple to seal the outcome.
Lemon paced four players in double figures with 21 points to go along with four assists and three steals. Siemon piled up a double-double consisting of 16 points and a career-high 19 rebounds. Caitlyn Brooks netted 15 points and Miller chipped in 10.
Cedarville shot 39 percent from the field and was good on 19-of-26 free throws for 73 percent. The Jackets also enjoyed a 45-32 rebound margin. Urbana is winless in four starts. [STATS]
