SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Aubrey Siemon came through with her third consecutive double-double to lead the NAIA Division II #11 Lady Jackets to a 75-63 non-conference victory at Wittenberg.
It was the first meeting in 27 years between the two schools and Cedarville appeared on its way to an easy win. The Lady Jackets broke open a tie game to finish the first half with a 27-10 run for their largest lead at 40-23.
However, the Tigers came out smoking to begin the second period with a 16-5 spurt to get within six points with still 16:25 left. After CU built the margin back to 16, Wittenberg again clawed back to as close as six before the Jackets closed the contest with six successive free throws.
Siemon totaled 22 points and 13 rebounds to go along with three blocks and two assists. Alison Lemon contributed 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
Lydia Miller chipped in 12 points and Kara Cayton came off the bench with 10. Cedarville extended its winning streak to four in a row to improve to 5-1 overall. Wittenberg is 1-3. [STATS]
