CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Urbana entered the Callan Athletic Center on a hot streak and proceeded to shoot lights out to defeat the NAIA Division II #11 Lady Jackets, 76-61, in a non-conference game.

It was the seventh consecutive victory for the Blue Knights since opening the season with five straight losses. The sour start included a 70-57 home loss to Cedarville on Nov. 24.

The big difference this time was field goal shooting. The Blue Knights came in hitting 40.5 percent of their field goals for the season, but shot 61 percent in the first half and 56 percent for the game.

The Jackets, on the other hand, suffered through a season-low 32-percent accuracy despite ranking 5th in the country in field goal percentage.

The last lead for CU was 24-23 with 6:50 left in the first half. Urbana answered with a 10-2 run and never trailed again.

It was 39-31 at the break. The Lady Jackets sneaked back to within 48-43 with still 12:20 to go. However, an 11-3 Urbana spurt put the visitors firmly in control again.

Alison Lemon was the lone player in double figures for Cedarville with 27 points. The Jackets drop to 8-3 overall. [STATS]
