PATASKALA, Ohio - Matt Krogstad turned in one of the best 54-hole scores in school history and Cedarville continued its climb up the leader board to finish in a tie for 3rd place at the 15-team Ohio Dominican/Otterbein Classic.
The Yellow Jackets shot 311-297-302 for a 910 total which tied co-host Ohio Dominican. Marian (Ind.) won the tournament with an 873 score. CU was in 9th place after the first round and in 5th heading into the final 18.
Krogstad finished at one-under par 215 at the Cumberland Trail Golf Course which is the second-best 54-hole total in school history. He carded rounds of 71-68-76 with his middle round being his career best and matching the second-lowest 18 hole score ever at CU.
Ben Mounts made his Cedarville debut with 81-75-74-230. Other Yellow Jacket scores were Nick Bigler, 81-76-74-231; Dan Atkeson, 83-78-78-239; and Matt Yeiter, 78-88-93-259.
Chris Bennington had the lowest total among three CU individuals at 79-76-78-233. Trent Roach was at 81-78-76-235 with Brigham Michaud at 86-81-75-242. [RESULTS]
