Fast start sparks Lady Jackets

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NAIA Division II #11 Cedarville scored 21 unanswered points early in an American Mideast Conference game with visiting Carlow and buried the Celtics, 79-47, to win for the fifth consecutive time.

Carlow got on the board first in the Callan Athletic Center. The Lady Jackets netted the next 21 points over a span of six minutes and eventually led 43-25 at halftime.

Cedarville, 13-3 overall and 4-1 AMC, saw its shooting cool off in the second half, but the visitors never got closer than 16 points. The 32-point advantage at the final buzzer was the largest of the game.

Alison Lemon recorded a game-high 25 points to go along with seven assists, two blocked shots, and a steal. Lacie Condon came off the bench with 11 points while Aubrey Siemon, the AMC's leading rebounder, hauled in 14 boards.

The Jackets committed just nine turnovers and forced 24 by the Celtics. Carlow falls to 5-11 and 1-6 AMC. [STATS]
