CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Aubrey Siemon and Alison Lemon each scored 20 points as the NAIA Division II #3 Lady Jackets rolled to an 88-66 win over visiting Notre Dame (Ohio) in an American Mideast Conference contest.
The victory was the 14th straight for Cedarville, 22-3 overall and 13-1 AMC, and it was sparked by a lethal offensive attack in the opening period. The Jackets outscored NDC 40-16 over the final 13 minutes to blow out to a 50-26 margin by the intermission.
CU shot 54.5 percent from the field and made 11-of-12 free throws in the first 20 minutes. Their largest lead of the game was 48-23 late in the half and the closest the Falcons would get was 66-52 with 9:45 to go.
Siemon became the 18th player in Lady Jacket basketball history to surpass 1,000 career points. She also hauled in 17 rebounds for her 17th double-double of the season which upped her league-leading per game average to 12.9.
Lemon grabbed eight rebounds and dished out a game-high four assists. Lydia Miller tallied 12 points and Caitlyn Brooks chipped in 11. Notre Dame is 14-9 and 10-5 AMC. [STATS]
