Lady Jackets close out season at NAIA Nationals

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Brian Cliff pulled away from Cedarville for an 81-62 victory in the second round of the 19th Annual NAIA Division II National Tournament before a hometown partisan crowd of 4,250 at the Tyson Event Center. The Lady Jackets end their season at 27-6.

Unfortunately for the CU women, they suffered through their worst shooting performance of the season on the biggest stage. The Jackets made just 17 percent of their shots in the first half in falling behind 31-21. They ended up with a season-low 27.3 percent showing for the game only after picking up the pace in the second period.

Alison Lemon wrapped up her stellar career with 13 points and five assists. Aubrey Siemon posted double-double #23 with 10 points and 15 rebounds while Rachel Hurley chipped in 10 points.

Briar Cliff, who benefitted from having its campus located in Sioux City, advances to the quarterfinals with a 27-7 record.

Lemon will graduate as Cedarville's sixth all-time leading scorer with 1,758 points. She finished fourth in both three-pointers made (206) and assists (477). [STATS]
