NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Host and #2 seed Walsh eliminated #3 Cedarville from the American Mideast Conference Women's Tennis Tournament with a convincing 8-1 decision in a semifinal match.
The Cavaliers, 14-9 overall, took command by claiming all three doubles matches. Four of their five singles wins occurred in straight sets.
The Lady Jacket point came from #1 singles player Joy Kellogg. She rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory.
Cedarville drops to 15-6 overall. The Lady Jackets will conclude the season at the NCCAA National Tournament in Mobile, Ala. on May 10-13. [RESULTS]
