Kayla Jenerette and
Kayla Linkous scored 17 points apiece as the Lady Jackets remained unbeaten by pounding Salem International, 87-47, to close out the Central State Classic.
Cedarville, 6-0 overall, shot 50 percent from the field in rolling out to a 40-21 lead by halftime. The Jackets hit 50 percent again in the second half while knocking down 18-of-21 free throws.
The contest stayed around a 20-point margin until midway through the final period. CU embarked on a 25-2 explosion to make it a rout.
Linkous finished with a double-double consisting of season-highs of 17 points and 10 rebounds. She made 7-of-8 shots from the field as well as all three of her free throws.
Jenerette flipped in a trio of three-pointers as part of her 17 points.
Deborah Chandler totaled 14 points and seven rebounds while
Raegan Ryan had 10 points with four assists.
Cedarville dominated the rebounding, 51-36. Salem International dips to 1-4 on the season.
