ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The Lady Jackets nearly recovered from a big deficit, but dropped a 5-4 decision to Saint Francis (Ill.) in their second match of spring break.
The two teams played singles first and the Fighting Saints claimed four of the six matches.
Melissa Stoltzfus was a winner at the #3 spot, 6-4, 6-4. The other point came from #6
Lyndsay Stine, 6-1, 6-1.
Those results forced the Jackets to have to sweep the doubles and they nearly did. Securing points were #2 Stoltzfus and
Joy Dice (8-6) as well as #3
Maryssa Herbert and
Chelsea Diamond (8-6).
Cedarville falls to 5-6 for the season. USF is 6-3.
