SANFORD, Fla. - Cedarville got its record back to the .500 level on the season with a solid 8-1 win over Ursinus.
The match, the third during spring break, was closer than the final indicates.
Brooke Johnson and
Lily Schuler needed a 7-4 tiebreaker to win their contest at #1 doubles, 9-8.
The Lady Jackets, 6-6 overall, also took the other two doubles matches.
Joy Dice and
Melissa Stoltzfus were 8-3 winners at the #2 slot and #3
Maryssa Herbert and
Chelsea Diamond teamed up for an 8-4 result.
Johnson (6-4, 6-0) and Schuler (6-4, 6-2) were victors at the top two singles positions. Stoltzfus also had a straight set decision at #4 by a 7-5, 6-3 count.
Herbert rallied for a 6-7, 6-2, 10-4 outcome at #5 singles while #6
Emily Paul made her collegiate debut with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
Ursinus is 1-3.
