Jenerette shoots Cedarville past Marauders

Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Kayla Jenerette flipped in 24 points as the Lady Jackets won their third straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference game with a 70-62 result over Central State.

The Alumni Weekend tilt between the Greene County rivals was played before 1,220 fans in the Callan Athletic Center.

Cedarville, 12-6 overall and 3-1 G-MAC, took a 36-25 lead at the intermission. It appeared the hosts may coast to victory when they opened up a 56-35 bulge with 13:50 left.

However, the Marauders made it interesting by getting as close as 66-59 at the 2:15 mark. Jenerette eased the tension by drilling her fourth three-point basket of the night.

The 24 points was the most for Jenerette since she netted 25 in the second game of the season. She knocked down 4-of-5 shots from beyond the arc and handed out three assists.

Lauryn Robinson finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Raegan Ryan handed out six assists.

CSU drops to 12-6 and 0-3 G-MAC.
