CU goes cold in loss to Urbana

Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The second half was the difference as Urbana stayed in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference title hunt with a 66-48 victory over the Lady Jackets in the Callan Athletic Center.

The contest was the annual Play 4Kay game. The event was an opportunity for a nation of players and coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the courts, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

The Blue Knights extended their winning streak to four in a row and won for the sixth time in seven games since CU pinned a 77-74 setback on them exactly one month ago in Urbana.

The injury-plagued Lady Jackets are forced to run different sets these days, but they still managed to gut out a 32-30 halftime lead. The final 20 minutes was a struggle against a determined Urbana ball club.

Cedarville made just 5-of-19 shots from the field while the Blue Knights outscored them 36-16 to grab the road decision. Urbana improves to 12-13 overall and 5-1 G-MAC.

Kayla Jenerette netted 16 points as the only player in twin figures for the Lady Jackets, 14-8 and 3-3 G-MAC.
