CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Sammy Kilimann scored the game winner early in the second half and the Yellow Jackets held on to beat Alderson Broaddus, 2-1, in a G-MAC contest.
Cedarville, 9-4-2 overall and 8-1-2 G-MAC, is unbeaten in its last seven outings.
Kilimann received a pass inside the box from
Cole Butaud and tucked a 10-yard shot on the ground inside the far post in the 55th minute. It was his fourth tally of the season.
The Jackets got on the board first in the 12th minute.
Jonny Stephens headed in his first career goal off a corner kick by
Conner Hughes.
AB equalized into an open net six minutes later which was the Battlers' last shot on goal in the game.
Stinger Notes:
- The Yellow Jackets were joined by Team IMPACT signee seven-year old Nicholas Grindstaff on Cystic Fibrosis Night.
- Kilimann has two other game-winning goals this fall (Malone, Ohio Valley).
- Offense was limited between the two schools again. The Jackets owned slim advantages in shots overall (10-8) and on goal (4-2).
- Cedarville moved into second place in the G-MAC standings with 26 points with three games remaining. Ohio Valley leads with 27.
- The Jackets swept the two regular season games vs. Alderson Broaddus and leads the all-time season series, 10-3-1.
