TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - William Jewell and Missouri-St. Louis dealt the Lady Jackets setbacks on the final day of the Midwest Region Crossover at The Academy Volleyball Club.
The opener took four sets with William Jewell prevailing 27-25, 28-26, 22-25, 25-20.
Taylor Wilkerson pounded 19 kills with 13 more from
Lauren Willow.
Sierra Schuitema racked up 49 assists,
Autumn Foust had 27 digs, and
Faith Ferris turned aside three blocks.
UMSL pulled off a sweep in the second match by scores of 27-25, 25-18, 27-25.
Wilkerson (16) and
Erin McCullough (10) reached double figures in kills. Schuitema had 29 assists and Foust finished with 16 digs for Cedarville, 8-16.
Stinger Notes:
- Wilkerson piled up 42 kills in the three matches and increased her career total to 960.
- Schuitema averaged 10.64 assists per set for the weekend.
- McCullough's ten kills vs. Missouri-St. Louis was a career-high.
- The William Jewell match featured 35 tie scores and 16 lead changes while there were 27 ties and 17 lead changes with UMSL.
- It was the first-ever meetings in volleyball against both schools.
