Derek Braak netted both goals as the Yellow Jackets maintained the top spot in the G-MAC standings with a 2-0 result at Kentucky Wesleyan.
Cedarville, 11-4-2 overall and 10-1-2 G-MAC, has won five straight and is unbeaten in its last nine outings.
Braak, a senior forward from Grand Haven, Mich., scored unassisted midway through the first half.
He tallied his team-leading ninth goal of the campaign from
Cole Butaud in the 49th minute.
Carter Selvius was called upon to make two saves while registering his seventh clean sheet.
Stinger Notes:
- Braak has scored 20 of his 27 career goals in the past two seasons.
- Butaud took over the team lead in assists with five.
- The Yellow Jackets finished with a 5-3-1 road record.
- Cedarville (32) has a two-point lead over Tiffin (30) in the G-MAC standings with one regular season game remaining.
- The Jackets host Ohio Dominican on Tuesday and TU hosts Findlay. The regular season champion hosts the G-MAC semifinals and final on Nov. 1 and 3.
- CU is a perfect 13-0 in the all-time series vs. Kentucky Wesleyan.
