CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Sammy Kilimann flicked in the game winner in the 86th minute as the Yellow Jackets stunned defending G-MAC champion and sixth-ranked Ohio Valley, 1-0, on Homecoming.
Cedarville, 7-4-2 overall and 6-1-2 G-MAC, extended its unbeaten streak to five in a row.
The Jackets were awarded a free kick approximately 25 yards from goal with 4:13 remaining.
Conner Hughes' delivery skimmed the head of Kilimann and inside the far post for his third goal this season.
Carter Selvius made three saves in goal and the CU defense recorded its fourth consecutive shutout.
Ohio Valley, 11-2 overall and 7-2 G-MAC, entered the game having outscored its opponents 38-5 with eight shutouts.
Stinger Notes:
- Kilimann also scored a late game winner in the 83rd minute of a 1-0 result vs. Malone.
- The Yellow Jackets are 3-3 in games decided by a 1-0 score line.
- A Homecoming crowd of 834 turned out for the contest played in 85-degree weather.
- Both of Ohio Valley's losses this fall have been 1-0 (Trevecca).
- The Fighting Scots were ranked as high as #2 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll.
- Cedarville leads the all-time season series, 8-3-2.
