Faith Ferris pounded a career-high 16 kills and classmate
Taylor Wilkerson tallied the 1,000th kill of her career to lead the Lady Jackets past Kentucky Wesleyan in a G-MAC match.
Cedarville, 12-17 overall and 10-8 G-MAC, won its fourth straight contest by scores of 25-12, 27-25, 24-26, 25-22 at the Callan Athletic Center.
After walking away with the first set, only two points separated the teams the rest of the way.
Ferris added four blocks to her night while Wilkerson totaled 15 kills and 24 digs.
Brooke Blattner was good for a career-high 12 kills and equaled her career-best of eight blocks.
Lauren Willow chipped in nine kills and four rejections.
Sierra Schuitema racked up 50 assists and a career-high 23 digs with
Autumn Foust providing a team-high 27 digs.
Stinger Notes:
- Wilkerson is the 22nd player in school history to surpass 1,000 career kills.
- There were 30 tie scores and 16 lead changes in the final three sets alone.
- Ferris' previous career-high of nine kills was set earlier this season vs. Hillsdale.
- Schuitema reached 50 assists in a match for the second time this year.
- The two teams split the two regular season matches. KWC was a four-set winner in Owensboro, Ky. on Sept. 15.
- The Lady Jackets hold an 11-5 edge in the all-time season series.
