NORTH CANTON, Ohio - East Division No. 1 seed Walsh eliminated West No. 4 Cedarville in four sets in the quarterfinals of the G-MAC Volleyball Championship.
The Cavaliers advanced by scores of 25-20, 25-11, 20-25, 25-19.
The Lady Jackets had their five-match winning streak snapped and end the season at 13-18.
Taylor Wilkerson had nine kills and 11 digs while
Lauren Willow posted nine kills and four blocks.
Faith Ferris totaled seven kills and a team-high five blocks.
Sierra Schuitema produced 30 assists and
Autumn Foust tallied 16 digs.
Stinger Notes:
- Wilkerson ends her career with 1,034 kills and 655 digs in 134 matches played.
- Ferris also played her final match totaling 221 career blocks in 103 matches.
- The Lady Jackets posted an 11-7 record following a 2-11 start to the season.
- Cedarville is the only school to qualify for all seven G-MAC volleyball tournaments ever played.
- It's the second straight year that Walsh knocked the Jackets out of the quarterfinals.
- The Cavaliers won both meetings this year and lead the all-time series, 38-18.
