Jackets drop two at UIS Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Cedarville completed its stay at the Illinois Springfield Capital Classic with four-set reversals to both Northern Michigan and McKendree.

NMU took care of the Lady Jackets in the first match of the day 25-14, 25-14, 19-25, 25-19.

Taylor Wilkerson pounded nine kills with 11 digs and Sami Gibbs added eight kills. Lauren Willow turned aside four blocks.

Sierra Schuitema registered 17 assists while Autumn Foust contributed 14 digs and four service aces.

McKendree downed CU in the final match 27-25, 25-27, 25-11, 25-15.

Brooke Blattner was good for 10 kills and four blocks. Willow racked up eight rejections and Faith Ferris chipped in six.

Wilkerson totaled 15 digs, Schuitema had 18 assists, and LIndsey Bray set up 16.
