CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Bellarmine registered the game's only tally in the 80th minute to beat the Yellow Jackets, 1-0, in the first game of the 2018 men's soccer campaign.

It's the second consecutive season the Knights opened the season with a one-goal win over Cedarville.

Junior goalkeeper Carter Selvius kept the home team in the contest by making seven saves.

Stinger Notes:
  • A 'Beach Night' crowd of 732 turned out for the contest.
  • It's the third time in the last four year's the two teams have opened the season against one another.
  • Bellarmine was making it's first visit to Cedarville.
  • The all-time series is tied, 2-2.
