FINDLAY, Ohio -
Conner Hughes and
Derek Braak scored goals to help Cedarville end a three-match losing streak with a 2-1 G-MAC victory at Findlay.
The Yellow Jackets, who had been shutout in their three previous outings, squared their overall record at 4-4-1 and improved to 3-1-1 G-MAC.
Hughes converted a penalty kick in the 40th minute for his first career tally.
Braak made it 2-0 in the 75th when he lofted a 25-yarder into an open net just inside the far post.
The Oilers answered two minutes later, but Cedarville held on for its first road win of the campaign.
Carter Selvius logged all 90 minutes in goal with two saves.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville was outshot overall, 8-7, but placed more on goal, 5-3.
- The Jackets had gone 317 minutes between scores until Hughes' PK.
- Findlay played a man down for the last 50 minutes.
- CU leads the all-time season series, 10-6, which began in the 1980 season.
