PHILIPPI, W.Va. - Four different players netted goals as the Yellow Jackets rolled to an impressive 4-0 G-MAC victory at Alderson Broaddus.
Nick Marculo tallied a goal and an assist and goalkeepr
Carter Selvius not only nailed down his second shutout of the season, but assisted on the team's final tally.
Cedarville, 5-4-1 overall and 4-1-1 G-MAC, got on the board early when
Cole Butaud set up
Derek Braak in the eighth minute for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
It was
Josiah Fragnito's turn next when he headed home a pass from Marculo with an additional assist from
T.J. Milby.
Marculo ripped a 20-yarder in the 58th minute from
Joel Fullmer.
Evan Kraatz completed the scoring in the 82nd when he one-timed a long restart from Selvius.
Stinger Notes:
- CU has scored six goals in its last two games after totaling six in the previous six outings.
- Shots were limited with the Yellow Jackets holding the edge 9-8 overall and 6-3 on goal.
- The two teams have met in the post-season in each of the last four years.
- Cedarville leads the all-time season series vs. the Battlers, 9-3-1.
