CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh swept Cedarville before a crowd of 1,047 in the first match of the season in the Callan Athletic Center which was also the G-MAC opener for both schools.
The Cavaliers won by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-19 to improve to 4-5 overall.
Lauren Willow pounded eight kills for the Lady Jackets, 1-7.
Taylor Wilkerson added six kills and three service aces.
Sierra Schuitema totaled 19 assists and 12 digs while
Autumn Foust led the back row with 15 digs.
Stinger Notes:
- It was the fifth straight home opener CU has attracted more than 1,000 fans.
- The Jackets have averaged 1,122 in their last five home openers.
- It was 'Free T-Shirt Night' to the first 1,000 fans. They're encouraged to wear them for 'White Out Night' vs. Malone on Sept. 18.
- Walsh leads the all-time series between the two schools, 37-18.
