PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville flipped in 11 three-pointers and built a huge lead en route to a 63-51 G-MAC victory at Lake Erie.
The Lady Jackets, who were coming off of their only league loss of the season at Walsh, improve to 11-3 overall and top the G-MAC with a 7-1 mark.
CU took a 20-point lead into the fourth quarter and scored the first basket for a 55-33 bulge.
The hosts stormed back and closed the gap to 57-51 with 2:33 left before
Baylee Bennett's triple provided some breathing room.
Abby Wolford paced a balanced attack with 14 points featuring a four-for-five accuracy from outside the arc.
Ashlyn Huffman scored 11 points,
Alli Roh hauled in eight rebounds, and
Emily Chapman was credited with four assists.
Stinger Notes:
- Roh made her first career start as a freshman
- Wolford scored in double figures for the eighth time including four of the past five games.
- It was the ninth contest the Jackets have made at least ten three-pointers.
- Cedarville never trailed in the contest. There was one tie at 3-3.
- The Lady Jackets lead the all-time series, 8-0.
- The two teams meet again in the Callan Athletic Center on Feb. 21.
