HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville pulled away in the second half to defeat Malone, 4-1, and clinch a bid in the upcoming G-MAC Tournament.
Cedarville improved to 8-5 overall and 7-2 G-MAC with its fourth consecutive victory.
Taylor Noll put the home side ahead for good in the sixth minute with an assist from
Emma Conway.
It was still 1-0 deep into the second period until
Kenna Anderson netted her first goal from
Mary Kate Wyer in the 72nd minute.
However, Malone converted a PK just 15 seconds later to cut the difference to 2-1.
Olivia Hoffman scored unassisted in the 75th minute and
Bex Velloney tucked in a PK in the 77th.
Stinger Notes:
- Malone had allowed just eight goals all season entering the match.
- Senior keeper Allison Garlock was credited with four saves.
- The Pioneers still lead the all-time series, 11-10-2, but CU has won eight of the last nine meetings.
