DAYTON, Ohio - Walsh never trailed and halted Cedarville's nine-game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 G-MAC victory at Wright State University.
The contest was moved to the artificial turf at WSU's Alumni Field because of heavy rain.
The Cavaliers, 9-4-2 overall and 5-4-2 G-MAC, headed home the first goal in the 19th minute to take advantage in the blustery conditions.
The visitors netted a huge insurance goal in the 76th pouncing on a loose ball in the box.
Pedro Alvares averted the shutout by converting a penalty kick with 1:25 remaining for the Yellow Jackets, 7-2-6 and 4-2-5 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville had been 5-0-4 in the previous nine contests.
- The Jackets have not been shutout this season and for 22 straight games dating back to last fall.
