HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets did all of their scoring after the intermission and blanked Alderson Broaddus, 3-0, in G-MAC men's soccer action on Homecoming.
Cedarville, unbeaten in its last four outings, improves to 4-1-4 overall and 2-1-3 G-MAC.
Josiah Fragnito came off the bench to start the second half and promptly poked in his first goal of the season in the 51st minute.
Pedro Alvares and
Nick Marculo assisted.
Mark Rowan outhustled a pair of Battler defenders to score from 12 yards out in the 71st from
Gui Fernandes.
Sammy Kilimann ripped a 20-yard free kick just inside the post in the 86th to zip up the victory.
Carter Selvius was called upon to make three saves in goal.
Stinger Notes:
- The Yellow Jackets are unbeaten at home this fall (3-0-3).
- The game was played before a season-high crowd of 638.
- Rowan's goal was the first of his career.
- Selvius lowered his goals against average to 0.61 with his fourth shutout.
- Cedarville defeated the Battlers for the fourth straight time and leads the all-time series, 11-3-1.
