CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NABC Division II No. 22 Indianapolis used hot shooting to remain unbeaten with a 94-88 victory over the Yellow Jackets to zip up the Eighth Annual Don Callan Classic.
The Greyhounds, 6-0, shot 59 percent from the field and buried 14 three-pointers to keep Cedarville at arms length throughout the evening.
UIndy led by no more than nine points, yet held the advantage for all but 17 seconds of the contest.
CU battled back to tie the score, 71-71, on a
Branden Maughmer three-pointer with nine minutes left and had one possession to take the lead.
However, the Greyhounds answered with a three-pointer and expanded the margin back out to nine in the final seconds.
Conner TenHove pumped in a season-high 27 points for the Yellow Jackets, 2-3. Maughmer totaled 23 points and
Quinton Green was good for 18.

- Cedarville knocked down a season-high 15 three-pointers out of 30 attempts.
- Freshman Dan McKeeman scored his first collegiate points on a trio of three-pointers.
- Green pulled in a game-high eight rebounds.
- Five of UIndy's six wins have been by six points or less.

- It was the first men's basketball meeting between the two schools.
- Grand Valley State defeated Ohio Dominican, 75-69, in the first game.
