Lady Jackets blank Judson; advance to semis

CHAMPIONSHIP INFO

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Olivia Hoffman continued her scoring spree to spark No. 1 seed Cedarville to a 2-0 result over No. 6 Judson to close out pool play at the NCCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship.

The Lady Jackets, 14-6-1, move on to Friday's semifinals at the Austin-Tindall Sports Complex with the opponent and game time TBA.

CU and Judson played over an hour of scoreless soccer until Hoffman came through in the 67th minute with her team-leading 12th goal of the season. Sophia Norden assisted.

The Jackets added insurance with an own goal ten minutes later when the Eagles headed in a corner kick

Cedarville dominated the stat sheet with the advantage in shots overall, 28-4, and shots on goal, 15-3.

Allison Garlock made three saves and set the single-season school record in shutouts with her tenth.

Stinger Notes:

  • Garlock's shutout was the 23rd of her career.
  • The clean sheet was Cedarville's school-record 11th as a team for a season.
