Yellow Jackets bag G-MAC win at Malone

CANTON, Ohio - Kollin Van Horn and Demond Parker both turned in career-best games to lead Cedarville to an 80-66 G-MAC win at Malone.

It was the 100th men's basketball meeting between the two schools in the series dating back to the 1958-59 season.

Van Horn worked the inside for 21 points while Parker did his damage on the perimeter with 19 for the Yellow Jackets, 4-4 overall and 2-0 G-MAC.

CU shot 57 percent in the first half while building a 42-31 cushion by the intermission.

The Pioneers, who were playing their conference opener, whittled the difference to three midway through the second half, but the visitors finished the game on a 27-16 run.

Van Horn was 9-for-11 from the field and 3-for-4 at the line. He added five rebounds and two blocked shots. Parker buried four three-pointers to go along with six assists.

Branden Maughmer totaled 13 points and eight assists while Conner TenHove added 13 points with six assists.
