NORTH CANTON, Ohio - No. 2 seed Kentucky Wesleyan sprinted out of the gate with the game's first 14 points and eliminated the No. 3 Lady Jackets, 82-61, in the G-MAC semifinals at Walsh University.
Cedarville ends the campaign 23-7 as G-MAC regular season co-champions.
The Panthers, 24-6, didn't let up. It was 52-28 at halftime and the scoreboard blinked a 29-point bulge late in the third quarter.
Abby Wolford was the only Lady Jacket to reach double figures with 14 points.
Baylee Bennett hit a pair of threes and finished with nine points.
Emily Chapman and
Ashlyn Huffman added eight points each.
Stinger Notes:
- The Lady Jackets have played in all seven G-MAC Tournaments ever played and advanced to the semifinals each time.
- Cedarville is 66-24 in three seasons under Head Coach Kari Hoffman.
- The Jackets lead KWC, 9-7, in the all-time series. The teams have split four games in the G-MAC Tournament.
- Regina Hochstetler ended her career with 1,346 points and is the program's all-time leader in free throw accuracy (.846).
- Bennett's three-year CU career ends with 1,176 points and the second-most triples made (285) in school history.
- Wolford bounced back after missing the last two years with injury to start all 30 games and lead the team in scoring (12.7 ppg).
