CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Trevecca took the first two results of a four-game Great Midwest Athletic Conference series at Cedarville.
The Trojans won by scores of 3-0 and 14-5.
The Yellow Jackets had their chances in the opener. Trailing 2-0, they loaded the bases with nobody out in both the seventh and eighth innings, but came up empty.
Logan Eby had two hits. Starting pitcher
Drew Minnich, 1-1, allowed two earned runs in seven innings with four strikeouts.
In the second game, Trevecca combined six hits with ten walks, three hit batters, and four CU errors to produce its 14 runs.
Payton Eeles had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 22 games. He had a two-run double and scored a run.
Bryce Hughes contributed two hits with a run scored and an RBI and
Markus Neff added a run scoring double for the Jackets, 12-26 overall and 6-14 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Eeles has hit safely in 31 of 38 contests this season with 19 multi-hit games.
- Cedarville ended a string of 19 scoreless innings with two runs in its first at bat of the nightcap.
- Seniors Hunter Kraynak, Ross Melchior, and Markus Neff will be recognized prior to Friday's twinbill on Senior Day.
