CEDARVILLE, Ohio - An early goal by No. 21 Bellarmine held up in a 1-0 non-conference result over Cedarville in the first home contest of the 2019 campaign.
The Knights, 3-0, won their third consecutive 1-0 decision while the Lady Jackets fell to 0-3.
Bellarmine got the game's only goal in the ninth minute by heading in a corner kick.
The visitors outshot CU 15-4 overall including a 7-0 margin in the second half. Shots on goal were 4-1 in favor of the Knights.
Allison Garlock went the distance in goal and made three saves.
Stinger Notes:
- Bellarmine is moving up to NCAA Division I in the summer of 2020.
- The Knights were playing their first road contest of the season.
- It was the first meeting in women's soccer between the two schools.
