CU scratches out 2-1 result over Panthers

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Aleah Martone's goal early in the second half was the difference and Cedarville went on to post a 2-1 G-MAC victory at Kentucky Wesleyan.

The Lady Jackets return home at 3-4 overall and 2-1 G-MAC.

Hannah Atkinson's team-leading fourth goal of the year came just a little more than five minutes into the contest for a 1-0 lead.

The Panthers equalized in the 39th minute before Martone's second of the season occurred before the second period was five minutes old.

Allison Garlock stepped up to make eight saves total - four in each half.

Stinger Notes:
  • All seven games thus far on the schedule have been decided by one goal.
  • Six of Atkinson's 27 career goals have come against KWC - five on the Panthers' home turf.
  • The Lady Jackets hold a 7-5-1 lead in the all-time series.
  • The two teams play again in Cedarville in the regular season home finale on Nov. 2.
