HILLSDALE, Mich. - Hillsdale had the last surge to knock off the Yellow Jackets, 75-67, in a key G-MAC men's basketball encounter.
The outcome halted an eight-game winning streak for Cedarville, 16-9 overall and 11-4 G-MAC.
The contest was close from the opening tip with neither side leading by more than seven points.
Tied 64-64 with 3:30 remaining, the Chargers took control with five unanswered points. The final score was the largest spread the entire night.
Kollin Van Horn worked the post for 18 points.
Branden Maughmer tallied 16 points and
Isaiah Speelman chipped in 10.
Stinger Notes:
- Van Horn is shooting .756 from the field (37-of-49) in the last six games.
- Maughmer is averaging 20.3 ppg over the past three outings.
- Speelman has four straight double figure performances.
- CU had not lost since Jan. 11 at Walsh, who they host on Saturday.
- The three three-pointers made was a season-low and the 12 attempts matched the low mark.

- It's the only time the teams play each other during the regular season.
- Hillsdale has won all seven meetings against the Yellow Jackets in the all-time series.
