CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Findlay outscored Cedarville 19-4 in the final quarter to come away with an important 64-56 G-MAC decision at the Callan Athletic Center on Senior Night.
The Lady Jackets outplayed the visitors in the middle two quarters to take a 52-45 advantage into the final frame.
However, Cedarville made just 2-of-16 shots over the last ten minutes and missed all eight of its three-point attempts.
Stevie Johnting buried seven three-point baskets and scored a career-high 26 points for the Lady Jackets, 19-7 overall and 12-5 G-MAC.
Emily Chapman tallied 12 points and
Ashlyn Huffman handed out eight assists.
Stinger Notes:
- After the game, seniors Anna DeFilippo, Cameron Peek, and Abby Wolford were honored.
- Johnting's previous career high was 18 points vs. Ursuline as a freshman.
- Cedarville attempted 88 three-pointers in two games against the taller Oilers and made 28.
- Findlay swept both meetings and leads the all-time series, 28-9.
