PAINESVILLE, Ohio -
Andy Volk and
Pedro Alvares scored 71 seconds apart in the second half as Cedarville knocked off No. 21 and G-MAC leader Lake Erie, 2-1.
The Yellow Jackets continue their move up the league standings in improving to 8-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 G-MAC.
The host Storm took the early lead in the eighth minute and held on to the 1-0 advantage into the intermission.
CU stole the momentum in the first six minutes of the second period.
Volk leveled the contest in the 50th minute on his third goal of the season.
Alvares delivered the winner on a penalty kick in the in the 52nd which was also his third this fall.
Jared Zacharias stopped four shots in goal to preserve the road result.

- Alvares is 2-for-2 on PK's in his career.
- The Jackets won at Lake Erie for the second straight time.
- Shots were in favor of the visitors at 10-9 overall and 6-5 on goal.
- The Storm come to Cedarville for a rematch on October 30.
- The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series, 5-1-1.
