NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Mauricio Ochoa Vazquez netted the game's only goal shortly after the intermission and Cedarville held on for a 1-0 G-MAC victory at Trevecca.
The result pushed the Yellow Jackets' winning streak to six in a row.
Cedarville, 10-2-1 overall and 7-2-1 G-MAC, seized on one of the game's few opportunities just 32 seconds into the second half.
Jake Johnson gathered in a long ball and hit Vazquez in stride. He beat the Trojan keeper low and inside the far post from ten yards out.
Shots were at a premium with the visitors owning slim margins of 7-6 overall and 2-1 on goal.
Jared Zacharias stopped the only shot he faced in recording his fourth shutout overall and second straight.
Stinger Notes:
- Three of the victories during the streak have been by 1-0 finals.
- Vazquez has 14 career goals and two game winners.
- Cedarville is 4-2-1 on the road this fall.
- The only setback during the spring regular schedule was 1-0 at Trevecca.
