Cedarville claims huge G-MAC win at Trevecca

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Addie Erslan stunned Trevecca with a goal in the 87th minute to give the Lady Jackets a 2-1 G-MAC result on the road.

The freshman's team-leading fourth goal of the season came on a wicked strike from 25 yards out into the upper corner.

It helped Cedarville maintain third place in the conference standings at 8-4-2 overall and 8-2-1 G-MAC.

Audrey Nelson sparked the visitors to the early lead on an assist from Mary Kate Wyer in the 10th minute.

Trevecca leveled the contest less than three minutes into the second period.

Goalkeeper Brooke Ackley was called upon to make three saves while remaining unbeaten in her last four outings (3-0-1).

"I'm really proud of the team. Trevecca is always a tough match. I was pleased with how well the team played together especially in the second half.

"Our back line really stepped up big and our midfielders were just everywhere tonight. I'm really happy for Audrey (Nelson) and Addie (Erslan). They've worked hard, and it was great to see them rewarded with the goals. It was a great team victory."
