HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - G-MAC leader Ashland looped in a goal in the 89th minute to come away with a 1-0 win over Cedarville on the home turf.
A high arching shot from about 12 yards fell into the right corner of the net just under the crossbar.
The Eagles are 8-2-1 overall and remain unbeaten in the G-MAC at 7-0-1.
Shots favored the visitors - 10-9 overall and 6-3 on goal.
Goalkeeper
Jocelyn Gross was called upon to make five saves for the Lady Jackets, 6-4-1 overall and 6-2 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville had not surrendered a goal in 351 minutes.
- The Jackets were playing without two starters and a key reserve.
- It was the fifth 1-0 score line of the season.
- CU had won three straight since a 1-0 setback at Ashland two weeks earlier.
- The Eagles lead the all-time series, 2-1.
