DAYTON, Ohio - Dayton led from start-to-finish in a 94-60 exhibition victory over Cedarville at UD Arena.
The Division I Flyers cruised out to a 22-point halftime cushion and then kept the visitors at bay over the final 20 minutes.
Jayvon Maughmer came off the bench to score 17 points for the Yellow Jackets.
Quinton Green tallied 12 points and backcourt mate
Branden Maughmer chipped in 10.
Jacob Drees hauled in a game-high nine rebounds.
CU's biggest obstacle was its own shooting. The Jackets missed all 15 of their three-point attempts in the first half and finished 5-for-32 overall.
Dayton knocked down 11-of-25 shots from deep.
Stinger Notes:
- Branden Maughmer and Tytist Dean dished out three assists each.
- Twelve (12) Yellow Jackets saw action while UD used 13 players.
- Cedarville committed just seven turnovers compared to six for the Flyers.
- Attendance was listed at 13,233.
- The score was nearly identical to the 93-60 Dayton exhibition win in 2019.
