CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets handed new Head Coach
Jason Smith a convincing 88-37 victory over Lake Superior State to begin the Midwest Region Crossover at the Callan Athletic Center.
Cedarville never trailed while blowing out to a 41-17 bulge by halftime thanks to 69 percent shooting in the second quarter.
Isabelle Bolender paced 13 players in the scoring column with a game-high 20 points and was the only Jacket to reach twin figures.
Lydia Sweeney tossed in a career-high nine points while
Allison Mader,
Taylor Stacy,
Taylor Strock, and
Anne Wheeler all scored eight points apiece.
Karli Anker came off the bench to hand out four assists.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville was +23 in the turnover department committing only four while forcing 27.
- Six different players were credited with two steals.
- All 14 players saw action, 13 scored, and 13 grabbed at least one rebound.
- It was the first-ever meeting in women's basketball between the two schools.
- Southern Indiana defeated G-MAC member Ohio Dominican, 64-58, in the first game.
