Big third quarter carries Lady Jackets

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - WBCA Division II No. 17 Cedarville blew open a tight game with a third quarter eruption en route to a 82-75 win over Trevecca at the Callan Athletic Center.

The Lady Jackets remained unbeaten at home while pushing their record to 17-2 overall and 17-2 G-MAC.

Senior point guard Ashlyn Huffman came through with game-highs of 21 points and nine rebounds to go along with four assists.

Emily Chapman finished with 11 points and seven assists with ten more points coming from Paige Garr.

The home team labored to a 37-35 lead at the intermission. They outscored TNU 35-17 in the third period thanks to seven triples and a perfect eight-for-eight showing at the stripe.

Cedarville carried a 72-52 bulge into the fourth quarter before settling for the seven-point victory.
