TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin went on an offensive tear in the second half to end WBCA Division II No. 9 Cedarville's 15-game winning streak with an 83-70 G-MAC decision at the Gillmor Student Center.
The Lady Jackets had turned around a 12-point first quarter deficit into a 55-43 advantage with 3:45 left in the third quarter.
However, the host Dragons finished the contest with a 40-15 explosion to send CU to its first defeat since the season opener.
Ashlyn Huffman totaled 15 points for league-leading Cedarville, 15-2 overall and 15-2 G-MAC.
Isabelle Bolender had 12 points and was joined in double figures by
Emily Chapman (11),
Anne Wheeler (11), and
Allie Marshall (10).
Stinger Notes:
- Chapman equaled her career-high of eights assists and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
- Wheeler was a perfect three-for-three outside the arc.
- Marshall's ten points is a new career-best.
- The Jackets made 10-of-20 shots from deep - the 13th time they made at least ten.
- It was the 50th meeting between the two schools with Cedarville leading the series, 32-18.
