CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The top-seeded Lady Jackets locked up Malone, 70-55, to win their G-MAC Women's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinal matchup at the Callan Athletic Center.
The outcome gives Cedarville the opportunity to host the semifinals and final this weekend.
Isabelle Bolender paced the offense with 17 points and seven rebounds for the Lady Jackets, 19-4.
Allison Mader pumped in 16 points while freshman guard
Anne Wheeler added 12.
Lexi Moore hauled in nine rebounds.
Malone broke out to a 20-18 lead after the first period. However, the CU defense stepped up to limit the Pioneers to 35 points the rest of the way.
The Jackets take on No. 5 Tiffin at 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday. The second semifinal pits No. 2 Kentucky Wesleyan against No. 6 Findlay at 7:30. Saturday's final has a 3:00 tip time.

- Mader knocked down a team-high three three-pointers (3-for-5).
- Emily Chapman dished out six assists in 21 minutes.
- The hosts were credited with a season-high five blocked shots.
- It was the third straight year for the Pioneers to play at Cedarville in the G-MAC Quarterfinals.
- The Lady Jackets defeated Malone three times this season and lead the all-time series, 40-15.
