No. 1 Lady Jackets get defensive; oust Malone

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The top-seeded Lady Jackets locked up Malone, 70-55, to win their G-MAC Women's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinal matchup at the Callan Athletic Center.

Isabelle Bolender paced the offense with 17 points and seven rebounds for the Lady Jackets, 19-4.

Allison Mader pumped in 16 points while freshman guard Anne Wheeler added 12. Lexi Moore hauled in nine rebounds.

Malone broke out to a 20-18 lead after the first period. However, the CU defense stepped up to limit the Pioneers to 35 points the rest of the way.
